Cloître et chapelle (XI-XIIe siècle)

Le monastère de Saint-Paul est un chef d’œuvre de l’art roman provençal. Au centre du promenoir, qui dessert les salles capitulaires et la chapelle, se dessine un jardin fleuri que domine le superbe clocher roman à deux étages. Un parcours botanique permet d’accéder au monument.

Sur les pas de Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh réalise durant son séjour à Saint-Paul de Mausole 143 huiles et plus de 150 dessins. Sur le parcours de visite 20 reproductions exceptionnelles des tableaux les plus connus sont présentées dans leur lieu de création : Les iris, La nuit étoilée, La sieste, Champ de blé au cyprès, La chambre de Vincent, Autoportrait… ainsi que la chambre reconstituée du peintre et le champ qui inspira quelques-unes de ses toiles.

Salles capitulaires : Exposition vente des œuvres des patients de la maison de santé et boutique souvenir.

11th-12th Century Cloister and chapel
Saint Paul de Mausole Monastery is a real master piece of the Provençal Romanesque Art. A manicured flower garden takes place right in the middle of the walking corridor around the cloister overlooked by a magnificent two level bell tower. A signaled botanical garden is guiding visitors to the main building.

Retracing Vincent van Gogh steps
During his 12 month stay at Saint Paul de Mausole Vinvent van Gogh created 143 oil paintings and more than 150 drawings. Visitors can enjoy 20 wonderfull reproductions of the most well knowned paintings along the garden path, at the very same place where the artist has created them: The Starry Night, The Siesta, The wheat field, his Bedroom, Self portrait... One can as well enjoy the visit of the reconstruction of his hospital bedroom.

In the Capitulaires rooms : Permanent exhibition of actual Saint Paul’s patient’s art works and gift shop.

Heures d’ouvertures 7 jours sur 7 - du 1er octobre au 30 mars : 10h15 à 17h15 - du 1er avril au 30 septembre : 9h30 à 19h. Fermé le 01/01 – 31/01 - Gratuité pour les enfants jusqu’ à 12 ans et les handicapés. Tarifs spéciaux pour les groupes.

High season: From April 1st to October 15th: 9.30 am to 7.00 pm, 7 days a week. Low season: From October 16th to December 31st: 10.15 am to 4.45 pm, 7 days a week. From February 2nd to March 31st, from 10.15 am to 4.45 pm, 7 days a week. Free entrance for children under 12 and for deasabled visitors.
