Mecca of Medieval Provence

Located on a strategic site, the medieval fortress sheltered the illustrious Baux family who claimed to be descendants of the mage Balthazar. Since then, the sixteen-pointed star has continued to show the way towards the village and the castle. The towers like the keep are the most representative vestiges of the defensive past of the site which can be visited all year round. Come and discover this fortification carved into the rock and which bears witness to a glorious past.

Guided tours and activities are offered on Easter and Pentecost weekends as well as May 8 and 9. Herbalism, medieval wine tasting in a Middle Ages tavern, minting of coins in the forge, demonstrations on a war machine, knightly battles and even conferences are on the program.
