The Blachère Foundation dedicated to the African contemporary art scene is sponsored by the family business Blachère IIlumination.
An internationally recognised centre of reference, it is the first contemporary art foundation which, since 2004, has been working continuously to encourage the dissemination and promotion of contemporary African art.
It organises two exhibitions per year, giving the public the chance to discover the work of the many artists it welcomes each year on residences, both in Africa in Ngaparou (Senegal) and in Europe in Bonnieux (France).
It is also responsible for the conservation of the Blachère collection, which today consists of nearly 2,000 works with a rich and multidisciplinary programme.
Its craft shop offers a wide choice of works by nearly 150 designers and artisans from Africa.
