Perched on a rocky spur, discover one of the finest historic sites in France, overlooking the famous village of Les Baux. The Château offers a magnificent view over the Baux Valley, vineyards, and fields of olive trees that extend down to the sea.
Gala Dali, the Surrealist muse Exhibition: 27 April to 8 November 2020
This photographic exhibition will celebrate the intuition and creative power of Gala which drew her into the Surrealist circle, where she was surrounded by intellectuals and artists throughout her life.
During the school holidays from 4 April to 3 May 2020 and from 4 July to 30 August 2020, Ascension from 21 to 24 May 2020 and Pentecost from 30 May to 1 June 2020.
As well as following the renovated visitor trail, travel through the centuries and discover the methods used by the builders who in turn have left traces of their work for us to see. Also learn how the siege engines worked and test your skills with a crossbow.

A musical entertainment bringing together lithophones and string instruments in a programme of music that spans the great historical eras of the Château des Baux de Provence. Performed by the Ensemble Calliopée.
Lithophone discovery workshops: presentation of the different types and sounds produced by these unusual musical instruments.

Learn from our Storytellers all about the secrets of the castle’s builders. Come and meet Parlier and Ymagière who will delight you with their instructive and entertaining tales!
Workshop secrets: All Saints: 26 to 31 October
Come and meet the last pupil of Leonardo who will reveal the techniques of the grand master of the Renaissance. In the painter’s workshop you will also find some fascinating information on the hidden meaning of things.
