Located in the center of Puymin, on a hillside, the Théo Desplans museum, labeled “Musée de France” is a showcase of Vaison archeology with its collections exclusively made up of objects taken from ancient sites. Modern and minimalist, it fits perfectly at the Classified Site with its exhibition galleries which are organized around a patio at the image of the “Domus”.
The museum invites you to wander through the history of the Voconces and the development of the ancient city: its urbanization, its large residences, and its public and private monuments including its majestic Theater with its great imperial statuary.
Discover its rich collections which teach you on daily, cultural, commercial, religious and funerary life in Roman times.
Follow the animated film on the “Dolphin House”, and take your time to watch the models, the painted decorations, sculptures and polychrome mosaics for a complete immersion in the opulent Vasio Vocontiorum.
