Guided tour: small objects, a thousand stories

This one-hour guided tour at the Musée de la Romanité in Nîmes turns the spotlight on the objects most visitors walk straight past, and lets each of them tell a thousand stories.

In any museum, some exhibits catch the eye immediately while others go almost unnoticed. Every one of them, however, has a fascinating tale to share.

The tour is built around these little-known, discreet objects, seen as “genuine witnesses to the past”. Through them, visitors explore the everyday life of ancient societies: their skills and crafts, their ways of living, and even beliefs that nobody would have suspected.
