The All Saints’ holidays at the Ancient Theatre of Orange bring a visitor trail, pottery or mosaic workshops and a virtual reality journey back to Antiquity.

One ticket for three monuments in Orange

Activities run from 22 to 25 October, then again from 29 October to 1 November. A single ticket, all-inclusive, covers three of the town’s monuments: the Ancient Theatre, the Musée d’art et d’histoire and the Triumphal Arch.

Virtual reality: 2,000 years back, behind the scenes of Antiquity

With virtual reality, visitors travel 2,000 years back in time to see the hidden side of the ancient stage, as it was in the Theatre’s golden age. This historical, immersive experience is described as a first.

Workshops to become a Roman: hopscotch, calligraphy, fibula and mosaic

The educational workshops let participants step into the shoes of a Roman and get a better sense of daily life at the time. In the pottery and mosaic sessions, everyone goes home with a piece they made themselves. The programme includes:

• the Roman game of hopscotch
• calligraphy
• making a fibula
• a clay medallion
• mosaic

Children and adults can enjoy these activities together. The all-inclusive package costs from €14.
