Family visit: A stroll among the gods

At the Musée de la Romanité in Nîmes, the family visit “Promenade chez les dieux” takes children aged 3 to 5 on a first meeting with Roman mythology. It accompanies the temporary exhibition “L’art romain du Louvre. Un monde d’images”.

This tour was created specially for 3 to 5 year olds. Thanks to works that come from the Louvre, the youngest visitors get acquainted with a few of the greatest characters of Roman mythology. Jupiter, Venus, Mars and many other gods and goddesses of Antiquity gradually reveal themselves along the route.

Looking, listening and handling to spark wonder

The method is playful: toddlers watch, listen, touch and feel amazed, and in this way enter the fascinating universe of the ancient divinities. For a lot of children, it is a “magical first encounter with mythology”.
