Le Noël de madame de Sévigné

At Château de Grignan, the self-guided visit “Le Noël de madame de Sévigné” shows the marquise surrounded by her loved ones, in the third edition of Noël au château (Christmas at the Castle).

The visit is part of the Année Sévigné. Madame de Sévigné is reunited with her family, and her grandchildren, Louis-Provence and Pauline, are eager for a game of tric-trac (backgammon) or billiards with their grandmother. Each of them is quietly pondering the étrennes (New Year’s gifts) they will give in January. Long hoped for, the gathering unfolds through animated conversation and shared pleasures.
