During the All Saints’ Day holidays, the Seaquarium Institut Marin in Le Grau-du-Roi lays on a creative workshop, an investigation and a treasure hunt, all with a Halloween theme.

Scientists from the past return from beyond the grave

For Halloween, scientists of days gone by come back to the Seaquarium to see what became of their research. They are stunned to find that nothing has changed, even though they sounded the alarm as early as the 1930s. Now they entrust visitors with one last mission.

Squelette en fête: a creative workshop for ages 6 and up

In this creative workshop, children aged 6 and over make their own articulated skeleton and then bring it to life, or rather give it a second life. Families can join in together from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm at the Espace Requinarium, along the visitor route. The activity is included in the admission ticket and requires no registration.

Investigation at the Seaquarium: decoding the scientists’ forgotten message

A mysterious message has turned up on the premises. This scientific investigation is for children aged 7 and over, who tackle it on their own, with no registration. The game booklet is handed out at the ticket desk, and players move around the visitor route as they please, continuously from 9:30am to 5pm, every day of the holidays except 27, 28 and 29 October.

Sharp powers of observation are needed to spot the clues and decode the message the scientists left behind. Each family goes at its own pace throughout the visit.

Hallokids: a hosted treasure hunt on 27, 28 and 29 October

Hallokids is the Seaquarium’s Halloween game, open to children aged 7 and over from 1:30pm to 4pm. It is free and needs no registration, but places are limited. The question put to participants: will they stay, or drift away, and will they dare to decode the forgotten message?

Map in hand, players hunt for clues and take on challenges devised by the science communicators of the Seaquarium Institut Marin. It is a hosted treasure hunt “unlike any other”.
