Participants head out into the fields with Gaël, a passionate producer, who introduces them to traditional harvesting using a sickle.

They learn how to spot the right plants, cut them and sort them, following artisanal methods.

At the still: from steam to essential oil and hydrosol

Once the picking is over, the workshop moves on to processing. Everyone finds out how a still works and learns the secrets of steam distillation.

Step by step, the freshly cut lavender turns into essential oil and hydrosol, and each person gets to grasp the subtleties of this “ancestral process”.

Educational, sensory and friendly, the experience ends with something to take home: everyone leaves with the essential oil and hydrosol that came out of their own work, bottled up, a “true concentrate of Provence”.
