“Murmures” exhibition: Alain du Pontavice

until 31 October

Abbaye de Silvacane
183 route de l'abbaye
13640 La Roque-d'Anthéron

Alain du Pontavice’s “Murmures” exhibition takes over the Abbey of Silvacane in La Roque-d’Anthéron, where his works play off the stone architecture.

The town of La Roque-d’Anthéron and the association Patrimoine Art et Culture invite visitors to explore the creations of the artist Alain du Pontavice, brought together under the title “Murmures”.

Painting, stone and light in conversation

Inside the abbey, the works enter into a subtle dialogue with the pure lines of the stone and the shifting light. They come across as delicate imprints, evoking the whispers of the self and of nature.

These vibrant traces stir intimate, living impressions in visitors. They invite a contemplative experience in which art and spirituality echo one another.

Alain du Pontavice: the process comes before the painting

The artist explains what matters most to him: “It is the process itself, immersed in the unknown as I paint, that I cherish the most. The finished painting reflects the revelation of deep, long-desired inner territories.”

Admission to the exhibition is covered by the entrance ticket to the Abbey of Silvacane.
